Hardwood Care & Maintenance

Follow our care guide below.

Daily Hardwood Care

While hardwood flooring is a durable and low-maintenance flooring option, some basic care is required to keep your hardwood looking great regularly.

The best way to maintain hardwood beauty is by sweeping. When you sweep, you help to remove dirt, dust, and other debris from your hardwood. If left untreated, these substances will accumulate and lead to premature aging. How often you sweep will depend on the foot traffic the hardwood receives. Daily sweeping will be necessary for some, while others may only need to do so once a week.

You may also use a damp mop on hardwood for a deeper clean. Make sure that your hardwood is damp as opposed to wet.

Solid Messes

All solid messes that take place on your hardwood can be swept with a broom. There's not much more to it than that. Sweep regularly to ensure hardwood beauty at all times.

Spills & Stains

Hardwood flooring is not overly vulnerable to spills and stains. When a spill occurs on your hardwood, it is always in your best interest to address it quickly to avoid lingering damage. Most hardwood spills can be wiped up with a cloth immediately. If you experience a more complex spill, consult your manufacturer for approved cleaning solutions.
